V6 upgrade proposal is ready for sequencer signalling
A new governance proposal is on the forum. It proposes to deploy the v6 upgrade to the Aztec Network.
The AZUP passed the initial governance step. It is now ready for sequencer signalling, and then for voting. The governance process is described here.
To signal for this payload, use one of these two methods.
1. Environment variable. Set this variable on your node, then restart the node:GOVERNANCE_PROPOSER_PAYLOAD_ADDRESS=0x68396cde7891ADCC65F11e8A5Cec1898AF6AD970
2. Admin command, with no restart. Call aztecAdmin_setConfig on the admin port of your node, with governanceProposerPayload set to the address above. The docs have the full command, and a second command to verify the result:
https://docs.aztec.network/operate/operators/sequencer-management/creating_and_voting_on_proposals#configure-your-signaling-preference
If you use the admin command, set the environment variable too. The admin command does not survive a restart.
More information about the node upgrade for sequencers will follow.
