Insider staking rewards proposal is ready for sequencer signalling

A new governance proposal has been published on the forum: https://forum.aztec.network/t/proposal-zero-sequencer-checkpoint-rewards-for-investor-and-employee-atp-registries/8694

It proposes to stop sequencer checkpoint rewards on insider allocations. These are the locked tokens (ATPs) of Aztec Foundation and Aztec Labs employees, and of Aztec Labs investors. Genesis sequencers and token sale participants are not affected.

If the proposal passes, insiders can still stake their tokens. They keep their duties, slashing exposure and transaction fees, but earn no checkpoint rewards. Providers who received a delegation from insiders get no commission on checkpoint rewards for them and are expected to initiate an exit from such a position.
